Hello! Welcome to The Young People's Finance. In this blog, I share my take on financial concepts like financial security and financial independance, plus a few opinion pieces on current topics, with you!
My knowledge has been profoundly gathered by the The Economist, Financial Times and the influence of my parents. It is important to note that all opinionated pieces that I discuss here are opinions of my own.
I have always been interested in the headlines of financial news and hence, was always eager to read the content of the articles - however, financial articles aren't targeted at people our age, and the language shows - I found the wording really dry and boring and figured, this may be the case for many of us who are interested in the topic, but not being the targeted audience, the language 'aesthetics' might not be reflective of our interests, although the substance of it is.
In short, I created this blog for young people to better understand the world of finance because I noticed that articles about finance aren't the most exciting ones. I created this website because I didn't want those plain and hard to understand articles to stop you from exploring and understanding the financial world!
About me
I am just like you- I have an interest in finance and its many interactions in the financial world and market. Currently still in school, I have always taken an interest in understanding the many nuances of the financial world. However, I have realised that financial articles aren't the most exciting thing to read, and this may have caused many to lose interest in what they were originally passionate about. Hence, I wanted to create a space where financial articles are fun and easy to understand! We don't have to stop exploring, questioning, or challenging what we are keen of- hence, The Young People's Finance.
